Terms of sale
This is a translation of our French text. If the two versions differ, the French version prevails, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.

1. Purpose
These terms govern the online sale, on licenciel.fr, of digital software licences (activation keys) by MAO Informatique (“Licenciel”) to consumers and businesses. Placing an order implies acceptance of these terms.
2. Products
Each product page specifies the edition, the number of devices, the duration (perpetual or subscription), the system requirements and, where applicable, the publisher’s end-of-support date. The software is downloaded from the publisher’s official servers; its use is subject to the publisher’s licence agreement. Origin of licences: keys acquired from an identified European supplier, with an invoice for each batch.
3. Prices
Prices are shown in euros including all taxes, at the VAT rate applicable in the billing country, recalculated at the time of ordering. Businesses can display prices excluding VAT. Volume discounts apply automatically per product. No delivery charges are made.
4. Ordering
The customer chooses their licences, checks their cart, enters their email address, billing details and payment method, then confirms by clicking “Pay”. A confirmation email summarises the order.
5. Payment
Payment by bank card (3-D Secure authentication), PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay, processed by certified providers; Licenciel never has access to card data. Businesses can pay by bank transfer on the basis of a quote.
6. Delivery
The key is sent by email to the address provided, in under an hour after payment is confirmed, together with the official download link, a guide and the invoice. It remains available in My account.
7. Invoice
An invoice is attached to the delivery email, in the company’s name and with its VAT number if the customer provided them.
8. Right of withdrawal
Consumers in principle have 14 days to withdraw (Article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code). In accordance with Article L221-28, 13°, this right cannot be exercised for digital content not supplied on a physical medium whose performance has begun with the consumer’s prior express consent and express waiver of their right of withdrawal. This consent is collected via a checkbox at the time of payment and confirmed in the order email.
9. Guarantees
The customer benefits from the legal guarantee of conformity applicable to digital content (Articles L224-25-12 et seq. of the French Consumer Code) and the guarantee against hidden defects (Articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code). In addition, Licenciel provides a commercial activation guarantee: a key that does not activate is replaced or refunded at first activation (a Microsoft licence then remains valid with no time limit on the device), following the procedure described on the Guarantee and refunds page.
10. Compatibility and older versions
It is the customer’s responsibility to check that their hardware meets the system requirements stated on the product page. For versions whose publisher support has ended, the customer acknowledges having been informed that these versions no longer receive security updates.
11. Liability
Licenciel is not liable for the use of the software, nor for damage resulting from an incompatibility indicated on the product page, unless it is at fault.
12. Personal data
The data collected is processed in accordance with the privacy policy.
13. Complaints and mediation
Any complaint can be sent to support@licenciel.fr. If no solution is found, consumers may use a consumer mediator free of charge (Article L612-1 of the French Consumer Code).
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. For consumers, the mandatory rules of their country of residence continue to apply.
