Which Office version to choose: the picker
For a PC running Windows 10 or 11 and a single computer, choose Office 2024 Professional Plus (supported until 9 October 2029). For a Mac, the Mac version; for several devices or online storage, a Microsoft 365 subscription.

Office 2024 does not install on Windows 7 or 8.1. An older version works on those systems, but Microsoft no longer publishes security updates, for Office or for Windows. It is better to move to Windows 11 if the PC allows it. See older versions · Can my PC run Windows 11?
